MANAGEMENT TEAM
Ike Mbelu is the Principal Partner at Icon & Ikon, Inc. He has over 37 years of experience in numerous planning, urban design and architectural services. Prior to his current position, he served seven years as a Planning Commissioner, three years of which were as Chairman of the Planning Commission in the City of Hawthorne, during which period the Planning Commission reviewed and approved over $500 million in development and redevelopment projects. He served years as Vice President and President of the Hawthorne Chamber of Commerce.
He was a member of the South Bay Livable Communities Advisory Board. Mr. Mbelu also served eleven years as Chairman of the Architectural Review Board City of Compton, California, during which period he reviewed and approved over $ 700 million of development projects. He served as an Urban Design Architect for the City of Compton in the Mid-Corridor section of the $2.5 billion Alameda Corridor Consolidated Freight rail corridor, for which he received a Design Award.

He is a member of the National Organization for Minority Architects, Member American Institute of Architects, Member American Planning Association, and Chairman of the Economic Development Committee Nnewi USA. Mr. Mbelu is listed in the 1996-97 edition of Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals. Mr. Mbelu has a Master of Architecture Degree and a Bachelor of Science in Urban & Regional Planning from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, California. He is a licensed architect by the State of California and the National Council of Architectural Registration Board NCARB.

Ugo Mbelu is a highly skilled project manager and communicator with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Communication from Arizona State University, where he completed coursework in public speaking, oral interpretation, psychology, work group communication, conversational Spanish, and confrontation diffusing communication.
Currently, Ugo serves as the Vice President of Operations at Icon & Ikon, Inc., overseeing the day-to-day operations of the architectural firm. He is responsible for organizing and executing construction projects and managing the firm's real estate assets. Ugo's dedication to excellence and his attention to detail have made him a valuable member of the Icon & Ikon team since June 2017.

Ugo Mbelu
Ijeoma is a talented Design Associate and Partner at Icon & Ikon, bringing with her 4 years of experience in the architecture field. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Imo State University in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria in September 2016.
Prior to joining Icon & Ikon, Ijeoma gained valuable hands-on experience by working as a project management assistant on construction sites in Nigeria for two years. Her background in architectural design and practical knowledge of construction site management have made her an invaluable asset to the Icon & Ikon team.
